Fabulous Friday

Hello parents and students,

I missed all the students so much yesterday so it was great to come back. We started off with our spelling test and then we moved onto math. In math, we continued working on our math summative. The students worked very hard creating their description paragraphs and their posters. Here are some pictures of the great activity. Over the weekend the students have to complete their posters.

In UOI, the students worked on their science fair project, their poster are starting to take shape. Here are some pictures of their amazing work so far.

Next week, we will be beginning our new unit of inquiry, ancient civilizations! We started discussing it today and the students are very excited to learn about the different civilizations.

Polar Expressions is have a student poetry and short-story competition. I am sending home the contest information this weekend. The contest is optional and the students can participate in either competition. On Monday, I will be looking at the entries and their rough drafts (whatever they have come up with so far-brainstorms). Please let me know if you would like any additional information.
