Top Tuesday

Dear Parents and Students,

Today, we started the day with a ceremony where one of our students, Rishabh, got his gold karate belt from Sensei.

In math, we reviewed last nights homework and the volume equation. Then, we completed an activity on linear, square and cubic units; the students had to create these units using newspaper! Here are some pictures.

In tonights math homework students have to calculate volume and figure out what is the correct unit of measure for different situations. Here is an example from the textbook.

Next, we had reading buddies. The students were so excited! I had the kindergartens come up to me all day to confirm that we were in fact coming :) Here are some pictures of the reading buddies.

In UOI, the students combined their research and started planning their lesson, I can see some interesting lessons being planned for this final week.

In language, we reviewed the OWA rubric and broke it down to words the students understand, we will continue this tomorrow.
