Tally-ho Tuesday

Hello parents and students,

I hope you are having a great Tuesday. Today, we tally-ho'd forward with the all the busy work that is happening at school right now. We began our day with math. We first took up the answers with our round-tables and then we learned about perimeter equations with rectangles. The two equations we would like the students to use are...

L x w + L x w = P

(L + w) x 2 = P

In an assessment, the students would be marked for labelling their polygon (L and w), writing the equation ((L+w)x2=P), putting the numbers in the proper places in the equation, and then finally for solving the equation.

In language, the students continued to work on the art projects. They will be due on Tuesday.  I also forgot to mention, yesterday two of our students, Chelsea and Tristan, where selected for the spelling bee. They will be competing tomorrow along with Hannah at 9:00am. Parents are welcome to attend! We have also started our DRA's this week.

In UOI, the students worked on Project 101, the research page is due tomorrow. Tomorrow, we will get a chance to introduce Prezi to the students!

We also had the chance to watch the JK-grade 2 classes in their Arts' night performance, which was very cute! The final performance will be at City Church on Thursday evening. Here is a picture of our choir at the rehearsal and the flyer for the performance.
