Good
evening parents and students,
First Monday is over with and we are
settling in to our routines. We started off the day with the first lesson in
math; exploring one million. We completed a challenge question in groups and
then set off to complete the practice. It was a tough lesson, especially
getting used to learning our advanced math for this year, but the students
helped each to succeed.
In language, the students completed
their first spelling word lesson in their workbook. The workbooks are due
tomorrow for the students; they do not have to complete the paragraph question
(that is homework for Tuesday).
In music, the students were assigned
their instruments. It was a very exciting time. I am attaching the pictures
below. Overall, a very exciting start to the week and hopefully the rest of the
week will progress just as nicely.
Homework:
Math: complete page 34 # 1,4,5,7
Spelling: Complete lesson #1 in workbook (try paragraph)
Bring in signed handbook forms if you haven’t done so
