Hello parents and students,
Today, we truly felt the school week.
The children are settling into their routines and we feel we have known each
other for months.
We started off the day today with deciding
what country we will be doing for International Day. After much group discussion and decisions,
Ms.Khan’s class has decided to do SPAIN J. Parents, if you have anything to contribute to our
International day, please contact me.
In math, we took up the homework
from last night, I found that the students seem to struggle with the word
format of large numbers and so I have asked them to practice saying them at home, and
we will be reviewing it in school over the term.
For language, tomorrow we have our
spelling test so the students do not have to complete a reading log tonight.
In Unit of Inquiry, the students
discussed their results from the station lab and we did an in-class assessment.
After marking them, I found that the students were still a little confused
about the science vocabulary and so we added that onto our vocab list and I
have assigned a States of Matter homework sheet to further solidify their
understanding. Here is a link to a video that is great for helping them answer
their sheet.
